Darkened RequiemThis little book arrived on my door step the other day. It was written by Author Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc who is known for her horror, sinister, vampire, undead, work. This unique collection delves into the mind of one of the best authors out there to write horror and the dark genre.

It is a collection of prose and poetry which deals with the undead. In her “Ode To The Night” the reader can see those who walk in the darkness, “We walk with you, talk with you, you’re none the wiswer it seems, We haunt your steps in the darkness, and in your waking fleeting dreams….”

This takes me back in time to the classic work of Dracula. I haven’t read poetry this inspirinig or moving since Edgar Allen Poe. I can see the dark ones moving silently through the night. I can feel their putrid breath as they pass by me wondering if I am going to become one of them.

Even though this book is a small book it is full of wonderful poetry – poetry that will make you go back again and again. Poetry that will stay in your mind and you will find yourself quoting it just like you do Poe. “Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.”

And excellent read a five star book
